Recently, the girls spent some time at Zamma and Auntie's house. They had a little tea party, colored, and even made pancakes... not just regular ones- Mickey Mouse=) They love adding sprinkles, too!
We started seeing baby chicks in the hallway at Zamma's place. Little tip-toes and a few crackers equals 19 baby chicks wanting to come for a visit.

We'll Miss You...
Heaven has a new angel... our very close friend Mr. Bob. Thirteen years ago, my family moved next store to Mr. Bob and Mrs. Jan Funderburk. We've always stayed closed- almost like having another set of parents. My Dad and Mr. Bob always kept each other company doing yard work and Christmas lights together. No matter the circumstances, Mr. Bob always had a smile=)
We'll be joining his whole family this Sunday at Wickham Park (Pavilion #3) for a Remembrance Service at 1:00pm.
We love you Mr. Bob!!!!

Potty Time=)
Makenzie's been extremely interested in the potty. Every time Kaylie goes in, Makenzie's right there pointing and trying to help flush. This past weekend, she kept going in the bathroom, backing up to the toilet, and saying "Pee-pee pease". So, while getting her out of her bathing suit, I gave in and sat her down... Tah-Dah! I yelled to William for the camera just as she wanted to wipe herself. Makenzie got so excited after getting off the toilet- clapping and giggling. Three times after that she kept wanting to go again... I hope it stays this easy to get her potty trained=)

Weekend in Fort Myers
William had three days in a row off, so we decided to head down to Fort Myers and see Grandpa Mel and Donna. The girls totally enjoyed playing and relaxing with everyone. After swimming in heated water and feeling the tad-bit cool air, the girls picked up a little cold. They liked cuddling up and getting spoiled, especially when feeling a little sick. It's really nice being able to jump in the car and take a quick 3 hour drive to spend time with people who love us soooo much!
Breakfast for Two
To change the girls routine a little, breakfast was served in our Florida room (enclosed patio). The girls got their own bowls and spoons, and even the cereal and milk. Surprisingly, there were no comments like "She's looking at me!" or "Her bowl is fuller than mine!". I think a breakfast out there will be a weekly ritual now=)

Ready, Set, Mow!
Papa would be proud... Kaylie helped Daddy mow the lawn and organize the garage. She decided to be "safe" and had to wear her bicycle helmet. (I wonder where she gets that from.) Daddy made sure to teach her how important it is to stay in straight lines and make different patterns in the grass. She really enjoys helping outside!

Little update
Well, this has definitely been a long month. I finally decided to leave work a few weeks ago. After threatening to sue for sexual harassment and getting threats of being fired for saying anything, being told to keep using unsanitary items, being stabbed in the back by fellow employees, I decided they didn't care and it was not a place to stay. The stress at work really became too much- no job is worth it!
It's been nice staying home with my girls, lots of play and learning time. Kaylie amazes me with how creative and dramatic she acts. I swear she's going to be my little cheerleader and actress. Makenzie has turned into such a little girl, no more baby- speaking more and learning how to be independent. I thank God for my girls every day. Without them, I'd be lost=)

Little Gymnasts
We've started gymnastics again! Kaylie surprised us with how much she improved her strength and balancing skills. She enjoys the balance beam and bar the best. Makenzie started in the Beginners class... she gets to do obstacle courses and try out all of the equipment. Her favorite so far is the bar. At Makenzie's last class, both girls got to enjoy time together... following each other on the balance beam, tumbles and swinging on the bar. We're so proud of our little girls!!!

Oreoman
Yesterday, the girls and I met up with an old family friend, Oreoman. For years, our visits with him have included an oreo party. Even when my sister and I were little we enjoyed getting messy.
The girls totally loved seeing Oreoman (Jim) and Barbara. We spent the afternoon with them, Zamma, and Auntie. It took a while for them to understand that it was okay to be messy when it's Oreoman time!

6 Months of Hard Work
We signed paperwork for our house on Makenzie's 1st birthday, September 27, 2006. It wasn't until October 17th that we actually moved in and started updating things. Here are some photos of what we've done so far. Our next steps are to redo the front and back yards, remodel the bathroom, get a new dining set and couch, and continue painting/updating things here and there. Who knew having a house could be so much fun?!?!?!

Last Easter Memories=)
This time of year makes me remember special times together last year in Ohio. Makenzie and I spent a few days with Karen and Jerry, Makenzie's Godparents. We enjoyed Easter with Aunt Pam, Uncle Bill, cousins Craig, Tricia, Colleen, Matt, Mitchell and Morgan, Uncle Bill's sister, and Jerry's parents. It was great timing to share little Makenzie with such loving family members. Wishing we could be there this year...
