Alleluia Ringers

We had a pretty big schedule change, having moved Kaylie back to her original Dance/Tumble studio. Good news for me was that opened up Monday evenings to play the hand bells at church :)

I played the flute/piccolo from 4th grade through graduating high school... music is in me! We "performed" for the first time this year last weekend. Our Alleluia Ringers group did really well, playing two nice pieces. 

 This is a glimpse of my music and bells... SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY!!!

So excited to learn more and play for Palm Sunday :)

Superbowl Party

It's no secret... we LOVE football! When our church planned a Superbowl Party, hosted by the youth, we jumped at the chance to spend time with our church family. Though our Kansas City Chiefs (ahem, um, yeah... the WORST team this year) had no part in the special day, we dressed for the occasion .

Makenzie dared me to take a pic and share how silly I could be... can anyone say "cHeEse"!?

 We brought fresh strawberries, Vanilla Wafers, and an awesome strawberry dip from my friend's shop. We knew there were going to be lots of junk food, so we had to bring something healthy lol

Fruit, check. Extra to share, check. AWESOME Thirty-One "Chiefs" bag to carry it in, check. Super sweet Makenzie, check!

 I should have grabbed William for this one, but I couldn't resist a cheesy smile pic for the day! Each kiddo wore some of William's old Chiefs apparel :) 

The kiddos and I stayed through the 3rd quarter. With school the next day, it was bedtime. Lots of hugs and smiles as we left William there to hang out. Definitely something we'll never forget!

Super Hero Party!

When we asked Dannen what he wanted for his birthday party, he instantly yelled, "SUPERHERO!". After watching Avengers, Spiderman, and tons of Superhero cartoons, he's been hooked on everything that has to do with those characters lol We even have a huge Spiderman banner from the theatre in his bedroom. His favorites are Spiderman, Hawkeye, Ironman & Batman :)

I had an image of PERFECTION when it came to his party... wanting to make lots of goodies and things I found on Pinterest, but when our original plans were changed due to a family funeral, I fell short :( Thankfully, he had a GREAT time, but this Mommy feels bad. I LOVE to do creative things, so this was more of a throw-it-together kinda day lol (We left church early to get our new refrigerator delivered, and ended up having HUGE issues, getting our real one on the third try, right in the middle of the party- grrr!)

Dannen really wanted cupcakes, so with a big crowd expected we made both a cake and cupcakes, oh and rice krispie treats!

 Time to sing to the birthday boy! All the kids enjoyed playing outside, so they still had jackets on long enough to sing and eat the goodies lol

 His "super-fast" made cake had new figures, Ironman and Batman :)

 All in all, what mattered the most was him having a good day... and from this smile, I know in my heart it was a success!!! We had 35 people in our house, tons of new toys, lots of laughter, and great friends who made for a memorable birthday party :)

Happy 4th Birthday, Dannen!

Our sweet little boy is 4 (February 11th)!!! Can't believe we've been blessed with such a wonderful son :) He's always full of energy and smiling... definitely a joy in each and every day.
Dannen LOVES playing soccer and basketball, keeps learning fun computer and phone games, has a great vocabulary (sometimes too good for his age lol), wears size 5/6/7 bottoms and tops with size 1 shoe, enjoys going to school 2 days a week with his friends, shares his love of God at church and home (LOVE his little prayers for meals and bedtime!), loves singing at bedtime and in the car, has a great appetite and willing to try anything new, and definitely enjoys entertaining us with his laughter :)

SOOO behind...

I have been so overwhelmed with things going on the past month... can't believe it's a bear trying to find the time to sit and write!?!? We go strong 7 days a week... Stay tuned for lots of updates, pics, and Dannen's birthday montage!
