Olive Garden

For a nice, inexpensive lunch, we all went to Olive Garden. Yummy=) The girls shared our soup, salad & breadsticks. Every time we go there, Kaylie thinks about Papa. She remembers us talking about how much he enjoyed the music. We love this place!!!

Busy Few Days

Kaylie painted her bird house- all by herself. Can't wait to get seeds and watch our Cardinals and Blue Jays visit!
*
We organized all the toys floating around the house. Makenzie had fun playing with the Little People's ark, zoo, and learning zoo!

Let's Read

I remember as a child, my parents used to set up little play areas for my sister and I to have fun with our "friends". We used to have tea parties and story time with any toy in our reach. It definitely gave us some fun bonding moments and great memories.

Since Kaylie & Makenzie have so many stuffed animals and babies, I decided to set up a play area for them to start their own fun times together. Each picked out some buddies and set up the coffee table to have a party... reading party=) They love to read, so it made for a very enjoyable afternoon.

Juice, books, "friends", sisters... what a combination!!!

What a Day!

We finally tackled the flower bed! After lots of design planning and plant/flower decisions, we spent the other day upping our curb appeal. The girls started out helping, but eventually the heat got to be too much. So, we popped in "The Little Mermaid", opened the front door and let them relax inside while we were able to watch them and continue the yard work. After about 5 hours, we finished another "TO DO LIST" item.
Before the fixing up.

We attempted a pathway a few months ago... needless to say it's outta here!

Alright kiddos, let's get started!

Mommy, I can help!

Pathway's gone!

Now we have a real flower bed

Tired and very sunburned... all well worth it!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Dads, Papas, Grandpas, and Godfathers. Here's hoping for a day of fun and relaxation spent with those who mean the most.

Trip to Zoo

Brevard Zoo has been calling our name... I work across the street from the county zoo entrance and have been hoping to make a trip there with the girls. Today, we were there ready to explore and have some fun.

Prior to this trip, William, Kaylie and I went when I was about 5 months pregnant with Makenzie, and I went opening day with my Dad- back in 1994! Unfortunately, the petting area and playgrounds are closed for renovation until next summer. There sure was a lot to see and keep everyone entertained though=) Here is a slideshow of our photos...

Six Years and Counting

Six years ago today, William and I were married at the Radisson Beach Hotel & Suites in Melbourne, Florida. We celebrated with lots of family members and friends. It's hard to believe it's been so long aready: lots of moving, lots of jobs, sad times of losing family members=(, happy times of gaining new family members=), and most of all- two beautiful daughters... Who could ask for anything more!

Yard Work & Play Time

William and I had a chance to get some much needed yard work completed today. From cutting the grass to pulling weeds, we kept busy for a few hours. Our front yard has a flower bed that somehow grew beautiful white and purple flowers- so we rearranged them with hopes of more to come. We're hoping to edge out the other flower beds and lay mulch Thursday.
The girls on the other hand liked playing in the dirt, catching Love Bugs and lizards, and enjoying the cold sprinkler water=) What I wouldn't give to be a kid again!!!

Some Changes

We've been working a lot and trying to keep the girls entertained. Steak 'n Shake is coming out with a new menu this week, so William got to bring home some of the old things for mementos. He's also taken on a project at work that's keeping him very busy. Perkins is going great. We've slowed down a little, so I've had a chance to learn how to make all of my bakery items and get my timing down for production.

We've decided to take the girls out of gymnastics this summer, with hopes of returning in August. Our car was stolen about 3 weeks ago. Thankfully, we've been "car sitting" a friends for the past two months, but he's coming to get it within the next week or so. That means once we hit the month mark on not knowing the whereabouts of our car, the car will be "closed" and we need to find different transportation. We're looking into our options in case our vehicle is not found. Having one car will make it a little more challenging to get around=)

I think the girls decided to grow an inch at the same time! Kaylie now wears 4T shirts and 3T shorts. Makenzie wears 2T & 3T shirts and 2T shorts. We also found out their little feet are getting bigger: Kaylie has 9/10 shoes and Makenzie has 6/7 shoes. Where is the time going?!?!
