We're thankful the school district down here is so passionate about science and reading... definitely makes a difference!!!
Every month, our girls' school hosts a family science night, full of activities, things to touch and explore, and especially time to spend with family learning. Dannen and I stayed home, watching Transformers and eating mac 'n cheese & popcorn, while William took our girls.
Besides learning about planets and the solar system, they also got to use a HUGE telescope to view Jupiter. They were so excited to see that it wasn't the north star shining brightly, but a planet lol
The school is very big on growing their own vegetables and agriculture, so every family got to learn how to plant different things and about their care.
Kaylie and Makenzie each planted herbs in water bottles... oh and on the way home, found a REAL FROG! Leave it to Kaylie, our fearless animal lover, to capture it and and want to bring it home lol "Um, no!"
They also planted some veggies to bring home: tomato, lettuce, green beans and celery.
They've done a great job keeping them alive... hoping to find our own space to plant in the ground soon :) Very proud of my little scientists!!!
