Happy New Year

To the year 2013, I say........ GOOD FREAKIN' BYE! Seriously now... there were some good times and of course even better memories made. But, all in all, there must be a light at the end of the 2013 tunnel. We've gone from being in one of the best financial positions to date down to the current NIGHTMARE. Things happen for a reason... must keep reminding myself that... on a daily basis... Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.http://bible.com/116/isa41.10.nlt
What have this year's obstacles taught me? Good question... Have faith that decisions are meant to be followed, no matter how scary they may seem. Know that there's always something or somebody in a "worse" position. Fully understand that my children will still love me no matter the situation. God's hands continue to work miracles through the tough times, keeping our family healthy. Family means the world to me.
I know there's a lot more to "take" from this year... my heart even screams it... I can see it in the eyes of my children...
Hopefully we as a family can open our hearts and minds to a better situation and know that God is and always will take care of us :)
What does the future, both near and far, hold for our family? No idea, honest, not even past today, but I do know I love my husband and children... and we'll be okay :)
Happy New Year... oh yes, happy new year!!!

"Chief" the Elf on the Shelf

Once again, we were visited by one of Santa's elves, "Chief". He came back this year! It was always funny to see where he was hiding...
Hanging out in one of my new Thirty-One totes...
 Riding our stuffed reindeer...
 Playing house with Snow White...
 Climbing our Advent tree...
Leaving a "special" note for the kiddos...
 Playing with Daddy's Lego guys...
 Eating yummy Christmas cookies...
Cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs...
 Playing with the kitchen decorations...
 Hiding in the tree...
 Waiting to help bake cookies...
 Hiding in the bathroom...
 Playing with chalk...
 Stealing Mommy's coffee...
 Hanging around...
 Hiding with the cookies...
 Spying from above...
Have to go to the bathroom?
Hope we see "Chief" again next year!

Christmas in Florida

We had the pleasure of spending Christmas in Florida (thanks Mom & Tricia) along with my Aunt Candy, Uncle John and cousins Robert & David. It was sooooo nice to get away and enjoy family!
Christmas morning was fantastic... everyone was spoiled :)
My favorite part was organizing everything into their piles afterward lol
Even Peanut was in love with her new toys!
 Legos? OH YEAH!
Dannen was beside himself with the 66-pack of cars... WOOHOO!
 Me and my mom...
Monster High girls are going to ride in style now!
Hahahaha priceless reaction to her new tablet :)
 Our boy LOVES Cars!
 All smiles from Makenzie!
 Dusty in the tub?
Our "little girl" got her very first Razor & shaving cream :)
Monster High dolls are taking over our house!
This was the @$5 gift section of the presents... everyone bought goodies to share... 94!
Dannen had a little too much fun with the Nerf dart gun lol
Aunt Candy doing nails with our girls...
