Time with Grandma

Dannen and Grandma Carol enjoying the view.....
Bad Kristy...........

Like always, I take tons of pictures. Unfortunately, I've been slacking a lot when it comes to pictures with Grandma. I'm not sure why. Maybe because we're always doing things that keep me distracted? Maybe because my children are becoming camera hogs, too? Ah, the joy of photography=)

Note to self: I promise to beef up the picture-taking, especially with other family members=P

LONG TIME NO POST!?!

This is what three sleepy kids look like when Mommy takes a picture at 630am LOL

Alright then! I think over two weeks with no post is definitely too long=P We've been super busy getting used to a new routine with school and having Grandma Carol living with us.

Since I last posted, lots of changes have occured...

Kaylie now attends her old school, no longer going to the charter school as previously posted. Too many things and moments were not what William and I envisioned for her schooling. From poor ideas of "homework" and school work to issues with children keeping themselves off of Kaylie (and nothing being done about it!). She LOVES being back with some of her friends and likes getting home by 245pm, instead of 4pm... more playtime with her sister:) It's also nice to see her old Kindergarten teacher!

Kaylie's second first day of 1st grade Thanks to my cousin Rachel :), we've started making/eating food through a great website (posted on the side--->). I chose Low-Fat recipes that feed 4-6 people. This works great, since Grandma Carol lives with us. Any leftovers are perfect for William to take to work the next day. I've decided to really work on food presentation and preparation. It's fun taking pictures of my creations!

Rollin' & Wigglin' & Wavin'

Dannen's second time rolling over... wasn't fast enough to catch the first one! I turned my back to pick up a marker for the girls, turned around, and Dannen was on his belly smiling at us=P

Any time you say "wiggle, wiggle", Dannen starts wigglin' his little head. He also wiggles his head any time I sing to him=P

"Bye-Bye!"

4th tooth gone!

Okay, I'm really behind! Kaylie pulled out her fourth tooth the night of her first day of school:) She came home with it half pushed up and somewhat bloody. With some help from Daddy, it was out before dinner. The tooth fairy spent a full dollar already this summer. Looks like one more stop is scheduled very soon for the other top front tooth, too!

Half a Year=)

Our baby boy is half a year old! Enjoy the montage of pics from the time he was born, until recently.

Dannen...
Jumps like there's no tomorrow.
Pulls himself up by holding only your fingers.
Rolls from back to belly and belly to back.
Sits by himself.
Reaches and grab for objects- learning how to scoot his butt forward to get closer to things.
Holds his own bottle.
Eats finger foods such as puffs/baby mum mums/bread sticks/crackers.
Eats stage 2 foods- tried all veggie and fruit.
Plays in the bath tub- sits on his own in the big rubber ducky.
Stands and leans on his play table.
Shakes his toys whenever you say "shake".
Wiggles his head when you say "wiggle".
Says "Mumma".
Puts his arms out and up when you say "up".
Reaches to be transferred to another person or to be moved.
Tries to clap (thanks to Grandma).

William's working on kisses... so cute:) He also tries to get "Dada" out sometimes. You can see him light up when Daddy comes in the room. Of course, he gets overly excited when the girls are within hearing distance. They can bring a smile to his face instantly:)

Miss Makenzie =)

Makenzie's been keeping busy with Mommy! She loves to be my little helper around the house, entertain Grandma Carol, play with the cat Spook, make Dannen laugh, and do just about everything a happy little 3 year old loves:) It's hard to think of her as only 3 when seeing pictures and even when she's around Kaylie! We've started a plan for my schooling her at home. Since her birthday is after the September 1st deadline for entering school, she has to wait another year until entering the VPK program. That means an extra year of Mommy & Me time:)

Testing Grandma Carol's "head ache" mask from the freezer- BRRRR!
I SEE YOU!!!!!
Play time with Bloo and Pineapple
Makenzie loves to get her hair braided after bath time... the next day means TONS of curls:)

Look how different!

Thought these were cute to compare:) First is of Dannen at 2 months and second is at 5 1/2 months!

Back To School

My baby is now a First Grader!!! Kaylie' first day of school was today. Our county scored exceptionally well for testing, therefore, students began school two weeks prior to most other counties in Florida.

This year she attends Imagine Schools of West Melbourne. It's a brand new charter school right down the road from William's theatre. We were so excited to hear of the required uniforms: specially ordered/embroidered polo shirts and jacket paired with any kind of khaki bottoms. The kids can "personalize" their looks through choice of shoes.

Kaylie started the day off eating breakfast with her sister and brother. Lots of giggles in between bites made for an interesting morning! I was very paranoid about being late and getting everyone piled in the car. It's a 20-30 minute ride, depending on traffic.

Time to go!
Oh yes, Tinker Bell backpack:)
All five of us made our way into her school. We passed the principal, dressed in a suit, who greeted Kaylie with a, "Good morning pretty girl!" Makenzie helped Kaylie find her seat and get settled. Lots of hugs and kisses later and she was on her own:)
I waited 40 minutes to get Kaylie in the drive-up lane. First day glitches made for a long, hot wait! I was very impressed with their security, so it was well worth every moment:)
We walked in to the smell of fresh baked cookies. Grandma Carol makes the best after school snacks!

Water Baby

The five of us went to Sebastian's Splash Fountains together. What a joy to have family time:) Kaylie and Makenzie quickly took to meeting new friends and enjoyed playing Mermaid Barbies. Dannen was able to play in the water this time with the help from both Mommy and Daddy. He LOVES water:)

Dannen refused to sit... kept trying to straighten out and stand
Jump, jump, jump!
Tee-hee-hee :D
Mommy kisses are the best<3
Oh yeah... time to relax now...
