No More Bassinet

Dannen made the move... from bassinet to crib! He's measuring 24 & 3/4inches long. Our growing baby needed room to stretch and sleep comfortably. Before the move, Dannen would be asleep by 830pm and wake up for a bottle around 430am. Thankfully, he's continued the same routine! It was hard the first night, because I kept thinking the monitor would fail and I wouldn't hear him. He slept great, Mommy did not=P The girls LOVE Dannen sleeping in his bed. They great one another in the morning with big smiles and giggles.

Oreo Party

What a treat! The five of us made a trip to Orlando to visit with great family friends' Mr. JP (Oreoman), Mrs. Barbara & Kenny. Ever since I was a little girl, my encounters with them ALWAYS included an Oreo Party... hence the nickname "Oreo" man! The girls ate too many Oreos, which led to a sugar overload. OMG they literally bounced off the walls and went insane=P Dannen had his first smell and baby taste of what may be one of the best cookies ever made. We can't wait for our next visit! Thank you soooooo much for the cookies and most of all time spent together!!!!!!!! We love you<3
Let the Oreo Party begin!

Alligator-Bird Park

We found our new favorite park out at Lake Washington. The girls have nicknamed it Alligator/Bird Park. Over the days spent enjoying the playground and scenery, we saw a baby alligator, tons of birds, a man who caught a snake while fishing, a squirrel who came within a foot of me (brave little &*#^ crawled right up to my back while I sat on a bench!), and some horses:) We had gorgeous weather and enjoyed our time together:)
Ready to go!
Baby alligator (maybe three feet long) we saw in the lake. I thought it was a huge snake at first. It actually ate a small bird right in front of us!

Kaylie's the MASTER gymnast!
Makenzie's all-time favorite thing to do- swing:)

WEEEEEEEEE!
Since she doesn't get to ride often, Makenzie's working on steering and pedaling at the same time.

Makenzie enjoyed the dock.

2 Months Old

Dannen Michael is two months old already:) At his doctor's visit yesterday, he weighed in at 15 pounds 1 ounce and measured 24 & 3/4 inches long!!! Just two months ago he was 9 pounds 1 ounce and 22 & 1/2 inches... WOW! We have a growing baby:)

His height and weight are off the charts. Dannen eats 6oz. five times a day. Usually his schedule is 4am, 8am, noon, 4pm, 8pm... sleeping through the night!

Dannen unfortunately had three shots. He screamed sooo loud and hard that he turned a BRIGHT red:( After about a minute he calmed down and fell asleep once in his car seat.

He has a mild case of thrush... it's when the insides of his mouth looks like formula is stuck to the cheeks and inner lips. Thankfully, it doesn't hurt at all... it's more annoying to see than anything. After a few days of meds he should have it all cleared up.

Dannen enjoyed cooing and smiling up a storm for his doctor. She was impressed with his head control and wanting to hold objects. We love watching him playing with his hands:)

Since our little guy is getting so big already, he barely fits in the bassinet anymore. So.................. Dannen's making the move to his crib this week. It's a month earlier than we hoped, but we certainly don't want him to be uncomfortable! Time to get his room 100% completed!

Easter Fun

This Easter, celebrations and preparations started early. William had Thursday and Friday off- having to work during the day all weekend=( He and the girls decorated the eggs and made brownies for the Easter Bunny to decorate.

Saturday was spent at the local shopping venue, participating in an egg hunt. The kids and I also hung out at my mom's place decorating eggs and playing together.

Easter morning was great! The girls enjoyed running around, finding all the little piles of candy and of course trying to eat some while we weren't looking. The Easter Bunny likes to get the girls different kinds of baskets/bags each year, making it fun and interesting. Dannen is too little for candy, so he got a stuffed animal to enjoy. While William worked =( we spent the afternoon at my mom's place again. The girls got tons of educational books, while Dannen got his own book as well. We had lunch and relaxed together, until heading home for dinner. The girls were so excited to tell William about their day and to spend the evening cuddling.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

The girls and Daddy decorated lots of eggs...
Good morning Easter baby!

Good-bye Fritz=(

I found out tonight that a VERY special dog is now an angel... Fritz=( Last week Friday during my surgery is when a family member got the call...

Fifteen years ago, we had neighbors who brought home an absolutely adorable puppy. He was so small! To get around in the yard, he had to actually hop. Fritz LOVED my Dad... they were best buddies! Over the years, I grew apart from Fritz and his owners, only seeing them once/twice a year. Sadly, last year was the final visit...

Last February, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit him while he was sick- everyone feared it was his last days. The girls tried so hard, laying by my side in the bedroom, to call him out from under the bed. Finally, at the end of our visit he waddled out... right to me for our bonding time... =(

Fritz was "my dog" in a silly way. Whenever we visited, my heart always smiled when he came into the room. He'd sit with me and let me pet him for what seemed like forever... What I wouldn't give for just one more visit with him...

I miss you Fritz... and love you even more...
*Now my Dad has "his" Fritz to hang out with in heaven.............*

Special Visit

We had the chance to catch up with one of my favorite cousins, Bevan. It's been such a long time since getting together (sadly at our Grandmother's funeral). Even though our time was but a few hours, it was GREAT seeing someone who's always held a special place in my heart.

When we were younger, my family would always travel and stay with his family. You could count on fun times with candy (overload of candy to be exact), tumbling in their huge living room, listening to stories on tape at bedtime, Super Mario Brothers, and always lots of laughter... just to name a few things!

It was so neat seeing my girls enjoying their time with Bevan. They even got to learn some French! :)

WE LOVE MR. BEVAN!!!!!!!
We're very proud to share Bevan has accepted to be Dannen's God-Father:) The first time Dannen saw Bevan, he instantly smiled! Then, while Bevan was speaking French to the girls, Dannen actually laughed... his first out-loud belly laugh!!! Lots of smiles and cuddles...

Dannen and his God-Father Bevan...
