Happy St. Patrick's Day

~Happy St. Patrick's Day~
We celebrated with green scrambled cheesy eggs and toast buttered with green butter. (Oh how I love food coloring!)
Dannen enjoyed the "finishing touches" of our green cupcakes:)

Special Irish Blessing for the day:
“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”

Girls Will Be Girls

Kaylie, Makenzie & I were long due a girls day out. We try very hard to make sure each kiddo gets special time with one or both of us, as well as girl/boy time. Since our girls did SO well on their report cards, I took them to the mall for some shopping!
The one thing I NEEDED to buy them, pants, was of course the only thing we didn't lol They enjoyed trying on clothes, chasing each other in the dressing rooms, chatting about what looked cute with what accessories, giggling over some cute little boys, sipping on their own Root Beers, picking out new stuffed animals, helping each other choose new earrings, and my favorite, spending time together.
When we got home, they had to put on a fashion show for William and Dannen. They're growing up so fast! Glad they share almost everything they wear and use... makes for easier shopping trips:)

Breakfast for Two

What's sweeter than a Daddy and his daughters having a tea party? Well, how about a Daddy and his son having breakfast together? :)
BIG BOY... little boy... BIG BOWL... little bowl
Love my LaVella boys!
(*Just to clarify.... we DO NOT let our children watch Sponge Bob or any insane cartoon like that... it kills me having that on his little chair. Our old neighbor gave us the chair, but I have yet to redo the design! blah*)

cOoKiE mAdNeSs

The lack of posting is due to all the cOoKiE mAdNeSs going on in our house! Who doesn't like Girl Scouts cookies, right? Kaylie joined the Seymour Brownies and Makenzie the Seymour Daisies just in time for cookie season.
I was super excited to help out Makenzie's troop leader, and closest friend here in Tennessee:), by becoming her co-leader. Christen and I loaded 311 cases of Girl Scout cookies into our vehicles and unloaded them at our house. Needless to say, it was an AWESOME maze!
Dannen LOVED helping unload the cases... milk does a body good!
Makenzie and Brooke... best buddies!!!
Our girls doing their part in organizing all the cookies:)
The night before our Daisy Troop's first cookie booth, we decorated and prepped for a fun day ahead.
At first Makenzie was extremely shy and wanted to hide. But, by the end she kept jumping in, asking people to buy cookies, really wanting to handle the money... go figure LOL
Kaylie and her best buddy Maddie were VERY excited to sell cookies!
Of course, it was SUPER cold during their 3 hour shift... Their troop's booth was promoted on the local TV station for the "Cookies on a Mission" theme, helping out the community:)
Slowly, but surely, the boxes began to dwindle as parents and girls came to pick up their cases.
We started trying to organize our Daisy troop items... no one can say we don't have enough fun things to plan!
Our dining room was turned into my make-shift COOKIE CENTRAL hahaha...
My front window still displays the "Daisy Cookies" sign for those picking up Girl Scout cookies
With all of these cookies in the house, it wasn't hard to find my kids enjoying a few... this time I caught them together:)
Check out this cool Daisy decoration! A Daisy mom made this for the girls to enjoy at their meetings. All three of my kids' hand prints made the petals!
Though I'm LOVING LOVING LOVING being so involved with Girl Scouts, I can honestly say I CAN NOT WAIT TO BE DONE WITH COOKIE SALES!!! LOL Getting anxious about all the fun events ahead!
